How buying your Christmas Boxes on pre-order helps us and the farmers
For the last few weeks we've been revealing the coffees that feature in this year's Christmas Boxes and encouraging you to pre-order.
We've been offering you discounts for putting your trust in us by buying before we've even told you what coffees you'll get.
But what difference does it make if you buy now compared to, say, December 10. Well, a lot of difference actually, and here's why.
Like all businesses, we need to receive stock from our suppliers before we can pass it on to you. The difference for small businesses like us, though, is that we don't have the scale to enable us to have spare cash sitting in the bank waiting to pay for that stock.
We want to pay our suppliers promptly, especially in the run-up to Christmas, and that in turn means they can pay the farmers promptly and everyone get can their money as soon as possible.
To do that, we need the cashflow that's generated by pre-orders. Put simply, by ordering your Christmas Boxes in November, you're helping suppliers and farmers receive their payment before the recipients of the boxes open them on Christmas Day.
So if you haven't ordered yours yet, why not visit our Christmas shop now and get your pre-order in?
